Senior Project Scheduler (VA EHRM)
GDIT's Federal Health team is hiring a Senior Project Scheduler (Master Scheduler) who will be responsible fordeveloping,maintaining, and managinghighly complexIntegrated Master Schedules (IMS)andIntegrated Master Plans (IMP)for large-scale IT programs supporting the Veterans Affairs Electronic Health Records Modernization effort. This role is deeply technical and requires a solution-oriented mindset with the ability to translate complex program structures into actionable and reliable schedules. TheSenior Project Schedulerapplies expert-levelMicrosoft Projectskills, advanced scheduling methodologies, and deep IT program knowledge to ensure project alignment,identifyrisks, assess impacts, and drive scheduling excellence across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, the ability tooptimizeschedule processes, and proven experience collaborating with cross-functional technical teams. This position requires exceptional communication skillsboth for stakeholder negotiation and for developing executive-level reporting on schedule performance, risks, and recovery strategies. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Microsoft Project (MSP) Mastery Develop complex custom fields, formulas, graphical indicators, filters, groups, and outline codes.
Build sophisticatedcustom reports, dashboards, and visualizationswithin MSP or via integration withExcel,PowerPoint, orPower BI.
Export/import MSP data and build macros or scripts (e.g., VBA) to automate processes or integrate with external systems (e.g.,Excel,SharePoint,Jira,Azure DevOps).
Technical & IT Project Integration Apply deep understanding of IT project methodologies (e.g.,Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid) to buildaccurateand aligned schedules.
Develop schedules forsystem integration efforts, including data migration, API development, testing cycles (SIT, UAT), and deployment.
Analytical, Solution-Oriented, & Innovative Mindset Communication & Collaboration Deliver clear, concise communications on schedule status, risks, and impacts totechnical teams, PMs, and executive leadership.
