This role assists in managing cost, supplier performance, and category-related activities while working closely with category buyers and cross-functional teams.<br>The Associate Commodity Buyer, Stampings contributes to sourcing initiatives by performing analysis, coordinating supplier activities, and supporting new product introductions. This role is important as a team member in ensuring effective execution of sourcing processes and maintaining strong supplier and internal partnerships.<h2></h2><h2><span class="emphasis-3">Position</span></h2>Associate Commodity Buyer, Stampings<h2></h2><h2><span class="emphasis-3">Location</span></h2>USA, Louisville, KY<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">How You'll Create Possibilities</span></h2><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Support the execution of sourcing initiatives for stamping categories by assisting with data analysis, supplier coordination, and project tracking.</li><li>Develop and maintain a basic understanding of stamping technologies, materials, supplier capabilities, and market trends to support sourcing activities.</li><li>Assist in managing supplier interactions by supporting performance tracking, issue resolution, and continuous improvement activities.</li><li>Prepare RFQs, cost analyses, and supporting documentation to assist in supplier negotiations and contract implementation.</li><li>Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and product management teams to support sourcing execution and new product introduction (NPI) activities.</li><li>Support sourcing projects aimed at improving material cost, quality, delivery, and working capital by tracking progress and analyzing results.</li><li>Assist in gathering supplier ideas and supporting initiatives that drive cost efficiencies and product improvements.</li><li>Help coordinate communication between sourcing, internal stakeholders, and suppliers to support alignment on timelines and deliverables.</li><li>Support plant operations by helping track and communicate supply issues and assisting with follow-up actions with suppliers.</li><li>Assist with material cost estimating, reporting, data management, and Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) administration.</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">What You'll Bring to Our Team</span></h2><p><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.</li><li>0–2 years of relevant experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, or related roles (internships/co-ops included).</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Effective communication and collaboration skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database tools.</li><li>Ability and willingness to travel 5–10% (domestic and occasional international travel for supplier and plant visits).</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Internship or co-op experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related fields.</li><li>Exposure to supplier management, RFQ processes, cost analysis, or purchasing activities.</li><li>Experience supporting cross-functional teams, projects, or program-related work.</li><li>Familiarity with data analysis tools, reporting systems, or Excel-based analysis.</li><li>Exposure to or willingness to learn Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and analytics to support procurement activities, supplier performance tracking, and cost analysis.</li><li>Academic project, internship, or early career experience supporting sourcing, purchasing, or New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.</li><li>Exposure to or experience working with global suppliers or supply chains.</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3"><b>Our Culture</b></span></h2><p style="text-align:left"><span>Our work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
