Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Operations Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Operations function.
As a Lead Technician, you'll be a technical expert ensuring our building's critical mechanical systems operate at peak performance. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and efficient work environment for our team. You'll leverage your mechanical expertise to troubleshoot complex issues, perform preventive maintenance, and execute repairs across HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Your work directly impacts our facility's operational excellence and support Cardinal Healths commitment to delivering world-class property management services. Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment including, not limited to conveyors, HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handler units, & split systems. Perform light electrical, plumbing repairs, installations, and system maintenance throughout the facility Execute pipefitting work, pipe running, pump repairs, and motor maintenance as needed Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all mechanical building systems with proper documentation Track and store department inventory Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces
Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
Move up to 50lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours Test and maintain backflow prevention devices to ensure compliance and system integrity Complete carpentry work and general building maintenance tasks to support facility operations Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations
Qualifications: 4+ years of experience, preferred High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred Experience in PC competency to include: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook preferred Demonstrated working knowledge with conveyors, HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, and air handlers preferred Advanced proficiency in plumbing systems, repairs, and installations preferred Valid driver's license preferred Strong technical knowledge of pipefitting, pumps, motors, and mechanical systems preferred
